Bill S‑228
First introduced on June 14, 2022, Bill S-228, also known as An Act to amend the Criminal Code (sterilization procedures), is an initiative spearheaded by Senator and Member of Métis Nation Saskatchewan, Yvonne Boyer. It aims to amend the Criminal Code by adding a provision stipulating that imposed sterilization constitutes a criminal offence.
